Introduction

A brief intro to what we do and how  can help you.

The latest news as it happens

The latest updates on anything affecting the Cornwall property market as soon as it happens.

House prices. What are they doing and should you care?

Does it matter if house prices are going up or down?

Should you move on a Friday?

If you do then planning is key and some simple steps you need to take.

What is wrong with estate agents?

Why are estate agents more interested in exchange than completion and why do they give such poor service on moving day?

Our exhibition schedule for 2023

We have decided to take CPC on the road next year now that the pandemic is behind us. We will be exhibiting at various shows in order to further develop our relationships with estate agents, other professionals as well as introducing ourselves to potential clients. Come and see us at either the Southwest Home and Garden Show, Westpoint in March or the Cornwall Home and Garden Show in April. Further events to be announced. Video of Krissy unpacking our new display.

Let us buy you a coffee.

Down in the area and wondering whether our services are for you? Let's meet up and talk you through what we do.

The weather may not be hot but the market is.

Despite the unseasonal weather there is no sign of a slowdown in the Cornish property market. The looming end of the stamp duty holiday on properties between £250,000 and £500,000 at the end of June has had little or no impact so far.

Social media groups locally have been full of how second home owners and estate agents are pushing up prices out of the reach of local buyers but here's the thing estate agents don't set the prices the sellers do! On top of that we haven't dealt with a single second home buyer in the last 12mths. Not through choice it's just not where the demand is right now. The demand is coming from normal people just wanting to relocate to Cornwall for a better quality of life. Can we blame them? Most of us moved here from somewhere else. For me it was 30yrs ago but the reasons were much the same.

Yes we need more affordable housing to buy and rent for low paid workers but that is more an issue with government planning policy than with the second home market.

Anyway enough my ranting if anyone sees summer can you kindly point it down here TIA.

Rental market update

We all know the rental market in Cornwall is seeing unprecedented levels of activity but can we help? Of course we can 😊
